Schools Participate in Generation Yes
Originally entitled "Gen www.Y, " Generation Yes is a staff development program that partners students and teachers for the purpose of developing a technology-infused lesson for use in the teacher's regular instruction. Students are taught technology skills and collaborative skills. The partner teacher provides the topic  for the project and works closely with the student to develop the lesson. The students at Cohoes Catholic were the first to experience a live videoconference.  A demonstration for parents was held one evening in September. Then Judy Kubik and her seventh and eighth grade students participated in a one-hour videoconference with a scientist from NASA.

Neal Dolan and the 8th graders at St.

Casimir made a virtual visit to the Library of Congress in Washington DC.

St. Anthony teachers have also scheduled videoconferences with their students. St. Luke's plans to do a videoconference on the Iroquois exhibit of the NYS Museum has been delayed due to museum staff changes.
