Catholic Central High School has installed a new student management system
called Odyssey (by Rediker Software). This system will be used for their data base, report cards, grade books, e-mail, web page, scheduling, etc! The school is very excited about this new change. The administrative staff was trained on June 26 and 27, 2003 on the new software and the teachers were trained during in-service days in September.
They have also updated one of their labs this past summer with all new computers.
Another diocesan high school has also made some technological improvements. Saratoga Central Catholic High School will be using
OptionC, a fully web-enabled comprehensive learning management system. With this system, students will

be able to view documents, assessments or tests and receive notes, comments, questions and other information from a teacher at home or at school. Parents will be able to access their child's grades, report cards, assignments, assessments, and notes from teachers. Chat or forums between students and/or teachers will be possible. Spa Catholic, as well as the high schools in the Buffalo diocese, are piloting this program at no cost during the month of October and will then purchase the program for 12 months.
Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School has received a small grant with which they have purchased several more LCD multimedia projectors.
They have also added E-Commerce to their curriculum, a program that has been very successful at Catholic Central for the past two years.
