Let the games begin! In honor of the 2006 Winter Olympics, St. Ambrose School held its own Olympic games. Students in kindergarten thru fourth grade participated. The day began with opening ceremonies where the students showed their patriotism by dressing in red, white and blue. Groups of students in each class carried a banner representing the many different countries. Back in the individual classrooms, Olympic events took place throughout the day. The Olympic events consisted of academic competitions such as spelling bees, math challenges and trivia.  The students were bursting with excitement throughout the day and showed great school spirit! Medals were awarded at the closing ceremony to all participants.
