8th Graders Equador

St. Ambrose 8th graders had the opportunity to learn about Ecuador when they received a visit from Margaret Vamosy. Margaret, a former Peace Corps worker in Ecuador, South America, spoke to the 8th graders about her experiences. Using slides, native dress and her guitar, "Margarita" (as she was called in Ecuador) shared her "fun days". Margaret taught the students about seasonal activities and holidays that are celebrated in Ecuador. Kindergarteners also had the opportunity to dress up and sing a few Spanish songs with Margaret and the 8th graders. Here are photos from that event:
