Fundraisers
for 2009-10:
HOME SCHOOL
ASSOCIATION POSITIONS:
President

Newly appointed committee member positions and a description of
their duties:
Assistant
Secretary of Fundraising: To
support the above officers with the necessary logistics
associated
with any fundraising event for our school. This will include, but is
not limited to the
following: to oversee the coordination and distribution of any
awards or prizes to fundraiser top
sellers or entire classrooms, as determined by the nature of the
incentive programs; to send letters of
appreciation to all donors including parents and businesses; to send
letters of appreciation to all
volunteers associated with each fundraiser, if necessary; to work
closely with the volunteer
coordinator, as needed for the particular event; and other duties as
determined.
Assistant Secretary of Social Events:
To support the above officers with the necessary logistics
associated
with any social event for our school. This will include,
but is not limited to the following: to work closely with
the
volunteer coordinator, as needed for each particular event; to send
letters of appreciation to all parent
volunteers and business donors
associated with each social event; and other duties as determined.
Assistant Treasurer: To support
the above officers with all HSA related functions. This will
include, but
is not limited to the following: providing direct
assistance to the treasurer with regards to collecting all
HSA dues; the accounting of all monies obtained through school sponsored
fundraising activities and social
events; and other duties as determined
Communications Coordinator: To
assist the President with composing a bi-monthly HSA newsletter to
be distributed
to all parents; to maintain the HSA section of the
school webpage, which shall include but not
be limited to posting
the minutes of our monthly meetings; to send reminders to all HSA
committee members,
a week prior to our monthly meetings; to provide
the school secretary with the meeting date for inclusion in
the
monthly school calendar; and other duties as determined.
Volunteer Coordinator:
To act as liaison with the home-room parents with regards to their
involvement with
various HSA related events. This will include the
establishment of a strong channel of communication with
these
home-room parents as to their duties and responsibilities associated
with these events; to determine
the need for and to assist with the
formation of volunteer committees for specific school sponsored
activities; to oversee the solicitation of parent volunteers for HSA
sponsored social events and fundraisers;
to follow through with all
duties assigned to any volunteer to verify their satisfactory
completion ; and
other duties as determined.
Hospitality Coordinator:
To assist the above officers with the necessary logistics, such as
beverage, food
and decorating needs, involved with hosting HSA
related events. This person will also act as the liaison to
the
committee with regards to the Kindergarten graduation reception, the
8th grade graduation reception,
the August and June
teachers luncheons; to oversee the purchase of teacher gifts for the
end of year
choral band and drama productions; and other duties as
determined.
