Purpose:
Saint Ambrose School has a wonderful Home School Association. The purpose of this association is to support
St. Ambrose School through the organization of volunteers; to raise funds for specific goals chosen by the Home
School Executive Committee; to promote and develop Catholic education in St. Ambrose School; to bring a closer
relationship into the home and the school; to insure that parents and teachers may cooperate more intelligently in
the training of the child; to assist in providing worthwhile extra-curricular activities in keeping with the approved
principles of Catholic Education; to cooperate with other organizations for the furtherance of the purpose and
functions of the Association and to respect the established school policies and practices as set by the Pastor and by
the School Principal.

Home School Association Services and Committees:
The committees listed below are very important to St. Ambrose School. St. Ambrose School has a very supportive
and involved parent community. We believe that a strong partnership between our school, each classroom, and home
is so important to the success of each student and to our school.  We invite you to be active in our school, through
the many opportunities available, at whatever level of involvement you desire.

1. Special Events Committee - There are so many wonderful events and functions planned throughout the school year
that enhance the family atmosphere within Saint Ambrose School.  This committee is responsible for working closely
with the Home School Association to implement the logistics associated with these fun-filled events with the goal of
providing hours of enjoyment for the parents and children of the school.

2. Marketing Committee - This committee is responsible for implementing a marketing plan for the upcoming school
year with the goal of maintaining and increasing enrollment in St. Ambrose School.  The marketing committee meets
the same Mondays as the HSA, at 7pm.

3. Bulletin Board Committee - For those creative parents that wish to assist the school with attractive and informative
bulletin board displays throughout the school, this committee is the one for you.  There are two bulletin boards that
are in monthly need of seasonal and informative changes. Guidelines will be given on some of the information that needs
to be publicized, but imaginative and artistic input and the completion of the bulletin boards will be performed
by the committee members.

4. Educational and Cultural Enhancement Committee - This committee will research and implement programs,
presentations and guest speakers (e.g. authors) that can come into the school to broaden, enhance and enrich our
student's educational and cultural experiences.

5. Teacher Appreciation Committee - Our school is very fortunate to have such a dedicated and professional
teaching staff. This committee will support the HSA with the responsibility of coordinating two faculty luncheons or
breakfasts an for other teacher appreciation activities.
