Five
Creating
Multi-Media Presentations
This is a five-day workshop where
teachers will create a multimedia presentation focusing on New York State
Learning Standards. During these five days, teachers will receive training
in Microsoft’s PowerPoint, effective use of the Internet, and how to use
a digital camera, scanner and printer. They will also have the choice
of exploring Microsoft’s Excel program or more advanced PowerPoint skills.
Developing
Web Enhanced Lessons
This is a three-day workshop where the
teachers will develop an individual or group project. They will have
an opportunity to examine various types of web-enhanced projects.
Activities will include, Treasure Hunts, Hot Lists, Web Quests and collaborative
projects. The teachers will also learn fundamental elements of Microsoft’s
Front Page.
Technology
Mentoring for Your District
This is a 4-day workshop where the teachers
will learn the fundamentals of becoming a Technology Mentor for their district/school
building. The first day of training teachers will review all skills
taught in the above two modules. The next two days of training will
be doing an internship for the above two modules. These two days
can be done either during the school year or the summer*. The last day,
teachers will learn ways to integrate technology into the curriculum.
