At Holy Spirit School, we are always striving to provide the safest and most secure school environment that we can for your daughters and sons.

With the safety of our children in mind, Holy Spirit School partners with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany in requiring all adults who volunteer or minister their time and talent in service of our school community to complete a basic background check, attend a Virtus training session and become aware of our Code of Conduct.

Attending a Virtus training session will provide you with an awareness of the signs to look for to safeguard our children from sexual abuse from other adults.  This knowledge is helpful not just in support of your volunteer work or ministry, but is also a good skill for parents and grandparents to possess.

This training is required for all Holy Spirit School and Holy Spirit Church employees and volunteers (especially for all involved in our sports programs, playground monitors, and those who would volunteer for cafeteria service or chaperone field trips).  To learn more about Virtus training and scheduled sessions in the Capital District, please refer to the Virtus website at:  www.virtus.org.
